Survey Shows 67% of Organizations Using AVoIP as Adoption Accelerates

A new global survey from Audinate and Futuresource Consulting shows accelerating adoption of audio and video over IP, with organizations placing greater emphasis on scalability, security and interoperability.

The study surveyed 370 end users and 100 integrators across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, spanning sectors including corporate, education, healthcare, media and government.

According to the findings, 67% of respondents are currently using IP networks for audio, with an additional 18% planning deployments within the next two to three years. Video adoption is also increasing, with 59% already using video over IP and another 26% planning near-term deployments.

The research indicates that AVoIP is moving beyond basic connectivity, with organizations now focusing on long-term requirements such as system scalability, future-proofing and support for hybrid and remote workflows.

Security and cloud-based management were also identified as key priorities, with respondents highlighting the importance of secure access and the ability to monitor and manage systems remotely.

The report also found that interoperability remains a major factor, with many organizations seeking solutions that support multi-vendor environments and open frameworks.

“The AV market has spoken,” said Joshua Rush, Chief Marketing Officer at Audinate. “End users and integrators require solutions that are dynamic, flexible and secure.”

Futuresource said organizations are increasingly evaluating platforms based on their ability to scale and integrate with IT infrastructure.

“The conversation around AVoIP has fundamentally changed,” said Joyce Wang, Lead Analyst at Futuresource Consulting. “End users aren’t asking ‘should we do this?’ anymore, they’re asking ‘which platform grows with us?’”
