TRG Multimedia has expanded its Cleveland facility with a new LED virtual production stage, powered by Disguise’s turnkey Studio Pro solution. The addition brings advanced virtual production capabilities to the Midwest, offering agencies, filmmakers and brands a cost-effective way to produce high-quality content in a controlled environment.
The new stage features a 50-foot-wide, 16-foot-tall LED volume built with ROE Obsidian panels, along with a mobile 10-by-10-foot auxiliary cart and a portable hardware rack for mobility. Combined with TRG’s 40 semi-permanent sets, the expansion offers even greater flexibility for hybrid physical and digital set design.
By investing in virtual production, TRG aims to eliminate location constraints and reduce production time and cost. The studio’s new setup allows teams to blend physical and digital environments, simulate outdoor scenes, and produce specialized builds without the logistical challenges of traditional set construction or location shooting.
After evaluating various virtual production systems, TRG selected Disguise Studio Pro for its integrated hardware and software stack, 24/7 support, and hands-on training. TRG worked with cinematic integrator AbelCine to bring the system online with installation and support from Disguise Services.
As part of the Studio Pro package, TRG received:
- A Disguise-designed portable hardware rack, including two Disguise VX4+ and two RX3 render nodes
- Stype Red Spy V3 camera tracking
- A 50’x16’ primary LED screen from ROE Visual, which has a 2.5-degree curve
- An LED build from Rogue Productions
- A training course with Disguise’s Virtual Production Accelerator
- An additional two weeks of dedicated training from Disguise, tailored to TRG’s stage
- Always-on 24/7 support from Disguise
- Plus an additional 10’x10’ mobile auxiliary wall from ROE Visual, for extra lighting
AbelCine also supplied the virtual production camera package, including a RED V-Raptor XL 8K camera with a Fuji Premista 28-100mm T2.9 full-frame lens. The package includes ARRI’s ZMU-4 zoom control unit with a pan arm adapter and an ARRI cforce mini lens motor for fine lens control.
TRG says the expansion opens new opportunities for high-end content creation in the Midwest, delivering Hollywood-level production tools without the travel.
