Change North Adelaide, a fitness and wellness facility in Adelaide, Australia, deployed a Biamp audio system to provide sound for fitness classes and background music throughout its wellness and spa areas. Adelaide-based integrator Leedall installed the system.
Different areas of the facility required different audio setups. In the functional training area, Leedall installed Biamp Desono DP8 pendant loudspeakers to provide audio for instructors and music during fitness classes. The cardio and Pilates areas use Desono C-IC6 marine-grade in-ceiling loudspeakers, with additional C-IC6 speakers providing background music in the spa and wellness areas.
The system also includes Biamp Apprimo wall controllers, which allow staff and instructors to manage audio zone controls. Parlé microphones provide voice reinforcement for instructors during fitness classes.
“The integrated Biamp ecosystem was the perfect fit for the diverse acoustic requirements at Change,” said Tim Biedman, associate designer at Leedall. “The reliability and performance of the Biamp Desono speakers, combined with the seamless integration of Biamp Voltera controllers and Apprimo wall panels, delivered exactly what the client needed.”
Leedall also configured and tested the system offline before deploying it at the facility. According to Biedman, this allowed the integrator to commission the system before installation.
