Epson announced its first all-in-one direct-view LED displays are now available in the U.S. through authorized resellers. The LE-C1 Series gives organizations a large-format display option designed to simplify installation, setup and everyday operation.
The lineup includes the 135-inch LE-C1135 and 162-inch LE-C1162 with Full HD 1080p resolution, as well as the 135-inch LE-C14K135 with 4K resolution. All three models use chip-on-board technology, which Epson says provides image clarity, surface protection and lower energy use compared with conventional SMD dvLED displays.
“Organizations are looking for display solutions that are easy to deploy, simple to manage, and backed by a trusted technology partner,” said Ramzi Shakra, senior product manager at Epson America.
For AV and IT teams, the LE-C1 Series features an operating system-free design intended to reduce maintenance requirements and potential security vulnerabilities. Factory-calibrated LED modules, preassembled cabinet columns and a preconfigured controller are also designed to simplify installation and provide a uniform image out of the box.
The displays use COB technology with a common cathode design to reduce power consumption and heat output. According to Epson, the 135-inch display can operate from a single 120 V 15A power source.
The LE-C1 Series also supports HDR and includes dual HDMI ports, optical S/PDIF, 3.5 mm audio, a Bluetooth remote and LAN control for integration into professional AV environments.
