Extron introduced Dynamic Images, a new control system capability that allows its user interfaces to display low-frame-rate video previews from compatible AV systems. The feature is available for NAV Pro AV over IP systems, with support for Quantum Ultra II videowall processor systems planned.
Dynamic Images can provide confidence previews directly on an Extron control interface, giving users visual confirmation of a source before switching. The preview does not require dedicated preview hardware.
The feature can also automatically update graphical content on Extron user interfaces. Dynamic Images can retrieve JPEG, PNG and animated GIF files from web sources and file servers, allowing elements such as logos, channel icons and status images to change without redeploying the GUI file.
“Dynamic Images helps users make confident source selections with instant visual confirmation before switching,” said Casey Hall, chief marketing officer for Extron.
Dynamic Images is compatible with Extron’s latest generation of user interfaces, including TLP Pro 35 Series touchpanels, Extron Control for Web and the new Extron Control Pro App.
