Extron Introduces Workspace Automation Controllers with Occupancy Sensing

Extron announced the release of its WC Pro 150 OCS and WC Pro 160 Workspace Automation Controllers, designed to provide secure display control and workspace automation. Both models offer solutions for workspaces of various sizes, featuring occupancy sensing for automatic display control and streamlined integration into room automation systems.

The controllers are configured to automatically power on displays via CEC when a person enters a room and turn them off when the room is vacant. These settings can be managed through the built-in web interface, offering control over Ethernet, RS-232, or IR. Both models also support Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation and reduced cabling needs.

For users seeking additional control options, Extron offers the LinkLicense for WC Pro Control Processor. This upgrade enables expanded functionality, allowing users to control multiple displays and devices through Extron’s Global Configurator Plus or Professional software. The LinkLicense also supports integration with TouchLink Pro touchpanels and Network Button Panels, providing more advanced control interfaces when required.

Users can further enhance functionality by applying the LinkLicense for User Interfaces, which enables mobile devices and computers to act as primary control interfaces. These flexible options aim to meet diverse user preferences and requirements. Whichever model you choose, these new Workspace Automation Controllers are the ideal choice for adding convenient display control and automation to your workspaces.
