Extron is now shipping the SSI 100 System Status Indicator, a backlit indicator designed to display room occupancy, activity status, safety protocols and other status information. Available in wall- and ceiling-mounted versions, the SSI 100 features a two-sided acrylic lens with multi-color backlighting and optional engraved lens kits that can display room names, classroom numbers or company logos.
The SSI 100 integrates with Extron control systems, calendaring platforms and room occupancy sensors without requiring software licenses. It can also be powered locally or through a single Power over Ethernet (PoE) cable, providing installation flexibility for new and existing deployments.
When paired with Extron Pro Series Controllers, the SSI 100 operates in IP Link Secure Platform Device mode and can be configured using Extron GCP or CSDU software to communicate room status. The indicator also integrates with Extron Room Scheduling and Wayfinding systems, displaying room names and availability using green and red illumination through direct communication with calendar servers via Room Agent software.
