iLOQ officially launched its updated line of padlocks designed for infrastructure operators. The first round will introduce a grade 3 lock, with upgraded 4 and 5 products to launch later in 2026.
The company said that the entire range aims to allow personnel to use their smartphones as keys, simplifying key management and allowing quick access.
The padlocks are designed to withstand the elements, making them ideal for outdoor sites from remote installations to urban centers. The company said that the new products serve to ensure personnel have access to the right place at the right time while preventing unauthorized entry.
The technology allows operators to to read padlock status and transfer status info to Manager in a reliable way. Operators can use their smart phones to update status in the field. iLOQ said that the padlocks are built on the knowledge of the importance of providing insight into where work is conducted, how long each worker spends there and where potential security issues are.
“Critical infrastructure keeps society running, and keeping these sites safe while ensuring access. While strong and smart padlocks are important, critical infrastructure companies are looking for a full overview of their operations. With our updated padlocks, we provide them with a whole new layer of data insights, and our battery-free locks ensure year-round uptime without maintenance needs,” said Joni Lampinen, chief revenue officer at iLOQ.
