i-PRO Co., Ltd., formerly known as Panasonic Security, has announced plans to assume wholesale and marketing responsibilities for i-PRO products in Japan from Panasonic Connect Co., Ltd. The transition is expected to be completed by March 31, 2026, pending regulatory approval.
Since becoming independent from Panasonic in 2019 through a partnership with Polaris Capital Group, i-PRO has focused on developing and manufacturing professional security products. Panasonic Connect has managed sales in Japan during that time, while i-PRO has built out its own channels. By taking over sales and marketing operations, i-PRO aims to strengthen its position in Japan and create a unified organization that combines development, manufacturing and sales under one structure.
According to the company, the integration will improve operational efficiency, enhance responsiveness to market needs and boost competitiveness in Japan. The move aligns with i-PRO’s global management model, which emphasizes regional integration and direct customer engagement.
Expected synergies include closer collaboration between manufacturing, product development and sales teams, faster deployment of global solutions in the Japanese market and improved customer value through a more efficient value chain. The company also expects to increase the speed of operations by simplifying business processes.
Beginning April 1, 2026, roughly 500 dealers who currently purchase i-PRO products through Panasonic Connect will work directly with i-PRO. Contracts with end users who buy through Panasonic Connect or Panasonic Corporation’s Electric Works Company will remain unchanged.
i-PRO says the transition will allow the company to deliver stronger customer support and continue providing high-quality security and safety solutions.
