MXL Microphones is set to introduce its upgraded AC-360-A USB Conference Room Microphone at InfoComm 2026, highlighting a redesigned conferencing solution aimed at simplifying deployment while expanding coverage for modern meeting environments.
The AC-360-A, showcased at Booth C7521, combines 360-degree voice pickup, USB connectivity and a new analog daisy-chain architecture designed to support larger meeting spaces without the complexity often associated with multi-microphone systems.
The compact, all-metal microphone is compatible with major conferencing platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet, and is designed for plug-and-play deployment in corporate meeting rooms, huddle spaces and collaboration environments.
According to MXL, the AC-360-A incorporates 12 internal microphone capsules arranged across four quadrants to deliver full-room audio coverage. The microphone captures speech from up to five feet away in any direction, providing a coverage area of approximately 25 feet in diameter. The company said the design allows many conference rooms to be covered with a single device, reducing installation requirements and system complexity.
“The AC-360-A reflects our commitment to making professional-quality audio simple and scalable for any meeting environment,” said Marc Bilderbach, product marketing specialist for MXL Microphones. “Whether you’re outfitting a small huddle room or a large conference space, this microphone ensures consistent, intelligible audio without the complexity typically associated with multi-microphone systems.”
A key enhancement in the new model is support for 3.5mm TRS analog daisy-chaining, enabling multiple microphones to be linked together for expanded room coverage. Audio from connected units is routed through the chain and delivered to a computer through a single USB connection on the final microphone.
MXL said the analog architecture helps avoid the performance limitations and potential instability associated with managing multiple USB audio devices, providing a more predictable conferencing experience in larger installations.
“Scalability was a key design priority when we upgraded the AC-360,” Bilderbach said. “By enabling multiple units to connect effortlessly, users can now build a system that grows with their needs while maintaining consistent audio performance.”
The AC-360-A also features a reinforced metal chassis designed for long-term use in high-traffic conference rooms and shared workspaces. For installation flexibility, the microphone includes removable rubber feet and mounting pads for tabletop placement, while an optional AC360CM ceiling mount adapter supports permanent overhead installations.
Powered entirely through USB, the microphone aims to eliminate the need for external power supplies and reduces cable requirements, allowing for streamlined deployment in professional conferencing environments.
The AC-360-A is being demonstrated during InfoComm 2026 in Las Vegas.
