Samsung Electronics America has launched a 13-inch Color E-Paper display, expanding its digital signage lineup with a compact option designed for retail, hospitality and workplace environments.
The display uses digital ink technology to deliver a paper-like viewing experience while consuming minimal power. Samsung said it can serve as an alternative to printed signage, allowing businesses to update content such as menus, promotions and announcements without reprinting materials.
Sized similarly to a standard sheet of paper, the display is designed for use in smaller spaces, including counters, shelves and office areas, where traditional signage is typically placed.
Samsung said the display maintains static images without consuming power and only uses energy when content is updated, helping reduce overall energy usage.
The device supports both local and remote content management. Staff can update content using a mobile app, while integration with Samsung’s VXT platform allows teams to manage displays and deploy content across locations.
According to Samsung, the display also incorporates sustainability-focused design elements, including a housing made with recycled materials and bio-based components.
“Modern businesses need signage that keeps pace with rapidly changing operations,” said Jonathan del Rosario, Head of Product, Display Solutions, Samsung Electronics America.
